Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, Windows 7, 8 KMS Host에서 Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2를 인증하기 위해서는 아래의 업데이트를 설치하면 됩니다.

 

Update adds support for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 clients to Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2012 KMS hosts - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2885698

 

 

*중요

KMS Host Key는 OS에 따라 설치가 제한되는데, 클라이언트 OS 용 KMS Host Key는 Windows Server OS에 설치할 수 없고, 마찬가지로 서버 OS 용 KMS Host Key는 클라이언트 OS에 설치할 수 없습니다.

 

예를 들어,

Windows Server 2008 R2 KMS Host에 Windows 7 KMS Host Key를 설치할 수 없습니다.

Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 KMS Host에 Windows 8 KMS Host Key를 설치할 수 없습니다.

Windows Server 2009 R2, 2012, 2012 R2 KMS Host에 Windows 8.1 KMS Host Key를 설치할 수 없습니다.

 

*중요

아래 KB를 보면, Windows Server OS에 설치된 KMS Host Key로는 서버 OS와 클라이언트 OS 모두 인증할 수 있지만, Windows 클라이언트  OS에 설치된 KMS Host Key로는 클라이언트 OS만 인증할 수 있음을 알 수 있습니다.

Installing a KMS host key on a computer running Windows 8.1 allows you to activate other computers running Windows 8.1 against this KMS host and earlier versions of the client operating system, such as Windows 7 or Windows Vista

 

Key Management Service in Windows Server 2012 R2

Installing a KMS host key on a computer running Windows Server allows you to activate computers running Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Sever 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, and Windows Vista.
